Don't Buy Flowers, Pick Them!
Use a very sharp blade and cut diagonally, (absorbs water better). Be sure to cut enough stem. Trim off most of the leaves, but leave a few to make the bouquet look full. Be sure to get a good variety of colours!

Exploring the woods in Harrow
Was bored today in Harrow, went exploring in the woods behind the arena.
Found an old steel plough which had become fused with the trunk of a tree. I wonder how long it's been sitting there? It was surreal to see two very opposing forms interlocked in eternal struggle. The plough, the symbol of agricultural progress and the business end of settler colonization of this land and its fertile soil. The tree, a relic of Essex County's forested past whose demise came with the plough and its masters. The tree swallows the plough as it continues to grow and thrive, while the forgotten farm machine rusts.
